Where have I been?

So, it’s 2020 and it’s been 2 years and 1 month since I last wrote a blog post, and let’s be frank 2018 was a piss poor attempt from myself to get back in the swing of things. What honestly happened? Well, fatherhood happened, it’s such a massive readjustment that you lose track of yourself as you get used to prioritising the emotions and wants of a new person in your life. That when you get a slither of free time I just wanted to rest & recuperate, not think of content, ideated and write. Now, I’m making the last 2 years sound as if I’ve toiled in a gulag sentenced to hard labour and that most certainly is not the case. Since we last spoke I’ve got married to my long-term partner and had some amazing moments with both my now wife and daughter and we’re now expecting our second child in a matter of weeks. So, I am all smiles, really I am… despite all that 2020 has thrown at us!

Now, I can hear you all asking… with all you’ve just said and a second child on the way. Why are you now coming back to the blog? Well, the reason for it is with the benefit for hindsight I should of used that ‘downtime’ I had to blog, post content come and have a conversation with you all as a ‘self-care’ tool. Now I’m sure that sounds selfish but from some of my recent Facebook rants and there have been a few, I mean this year has been testing with COVID, Breanna Taylor, George Floyd, the British government’s incompetence and the recent US general election, I need to turn that negativity into a positive output and hopefully in doing so will help you and me stay stylish and ahead of the curve trend. Now, I know we don’t have anywhere to go at the moment with national lockdowns from the UK to Germany, but fashion isn’t solely about immediate consumption as we get older. It’s about longevity, sustainability and enhancements of our individual lifestyles.
So, without further ado, shall we get started?
