For several months I’ve admired a Leeds based brand/store called MKI Miyuki-Zoku, the brain child of Vik Tailor. The brand/store is a result of research into the 1950s Ivy League asthetic where Vik Tailor came across a fashion-obsessed youth tribe from Japan who strongly identified with the look. The idea behind the brand is to offer quality garments from a design perspective, at a much more modest price point. The collections are made to be be accessible both in wear-ability and affordability.
I’ve wanted many pieces from there collection over the course of the year but never been fast enough off the mark before items have sold out….until now.
This classic varsity jacket in black & black by MKI is more fitted than your usual oversized number you normally find, almost giving a sense that it’s a bespoke piece of tailoring.
